I am currently in my second Year at Sheffield Hallam University studying Fashion Management and Communication. For my last module of the year we have to act as 'Trend Forecasters' and create our very own Micro Trend for Spring/Summer '19. Our final outcomes will be shown to Unique Style Platform who will then work alongside our lecturer to mark our work.

For this module I began to research into the Macro Trend of 'Limitless' which revolves around 'Intriguing Repulsion', 'Sexual Healing', 'Female Horror' and 'Online Fragility'. With each of these topics I began to research further and create my very own Micro Trend of Multifaceted. Here is my Trend Prediction:

"Pushing our most intimate desires and needs for a hypersexualised nature with limitless possibilities for the female anatomy, boundary breaking behaviours create a deeply unsettling nature while also encouraging gender difference.

An unnatural evolution of beauty is happening amongst us, creating a disturbing reality that many women seem impervious to their unnatural and wildly distorted features. Women begin to slowly morph into something unreal and unattractive as their misguided obsession with eternal youth becomes obsessive, as they end up giving away their own.

Concepts of beauty, horror and eroticism reach new limits to create a fragile new normal, as we increasingly seek amplified and instant satisfaction. "

As we are all drawing nearer to the deadline date, we was given the opportunity to present our research to Unique Style Platform who then gave us formative feedback on how we can push our work further. This presentation involved each student presenting their work in front of other student and the Unique Style Platform Team which was followed by a short discussion. We was then given the opportunity to see how the USP team work in their office, look at their own Trend Books and see what they get up to on a day to day basis. With the rest of my day, I visited exhibitions around London with other student to gather more research for my Trend.
